Nightmare before Christmas?

Twas` the nightmare before Christmas, I searched the whole house.
To feed my big snake, not even a damn mouse!,
I searched the pantry, not even some cheese,
I hope I'll find something soon, or my snake won't be pleased.

My bats hung upside down in their cave so damp,
While the black cats were cozily asleep by the lamp.
I ran fast outside, to see if I could find a stray
Only to have the mayor say, "How are you today?"

Then all at once in the top room I heard quite a clatter,
I ran up the stairs to find Jack with a full platter.
I came to the room with a confused expression as he shouted, "My Queen!
I have the new plans, oh such great plans, for next Halloween."

"It starts with a big machine that makes it snow.
And we work on my red costume, and my ho-ho-ho.
The townspeople will make presents for the boys and girls.
We'll deliver the presents that have black and grey swirls."

"But Jack…" I said with my frail little voice,
"How do we know this will work out for the girls and the boys?"
"It just will", said the tall skeleton with a grin,
"We'll get everyone together to plan and begin!"

"We'll ask Sally and Zero and Dr. Finkelstein too,
We'll even ask Oogie Boogie, if we have to!
We'll ask the witches, the vampire brothers and underwater gal,
We'll ask the clown and the band; we'll invite them all!

Go Alberto!  Go Pietro!
Go Luciano and all of them.
Go Sophia!  Go Maria!
Go You and even Flem!"

Now that his plans for next year are complete,
I'll continue my search for something for my snake to eat.
As I was leaving, Sally spotted me with a smile and handed me a bloody steak,
I ran all the way home and waited for my snake to awake.

It's now Christmas morning, the house is alive,
I got what I wanted, a black skull scythe.
All the animals are happy, full trash cans,
And I guess I'll go help with Jack's crazy plans.
